AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has said his party is open to an alliance with political groups that want to prevent the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from returning to power in Uttar Pradesh for a third consecutive term.
With the 2027 UP Assembly elections approaching, Owaisi has invited “like-minded” parties for discussions and said AIMIM is ready to work with them.
Owaisi reiterated the alliance offer while addressing political developments in Uttar Pradesh, saying no opposition party could take on the BJP alone.
He said AIMIM would continue strengthening its organisation in the state regardless of whether an alliance is finalised.

Owaisi Says AIMIM Ready for Alliance Talks Owaisi said parties that want to prevent the BJP from forming the government in Uttar Pradesh again can approach AIMIM for discussions.
The AIMIM chief said the party was prepared to work with groups sharing that objective.
He also said that any decision regarding an alliance would be announced after October 2.
The remarks come after Owaisi had made similar overtures earlier this year, including an appeal for an understanding with the Samajwadi Party (SP).
In July, he said AIMIM was ready to join hands with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and called for talks before the election.

The party has been seeking to expand its electoral presence in the state ahead of the 2027 Assembly polls.
